BTW:  Warn anyone shipping to you about insurance levels. They will
charge GST on that amount. I used to have people insure stuff for the
value plus shipping because that's what I would lose if the package went
to la la land. It was a mistake and I'd pay 15% on that too.

Do mark it used if it is. If it's not going to stay in Canada, have them
mark that.

I've only had one package opened. I hope it hit the guy in the foot.

The worst thing about being up here in a remote area is getting things
delivered. Unless I want to fix my machines with rocks and twigs--or the
occasional cod--I am forced to learn many painful lessons. Many people
don't like to ship here because it's a hassle for them. I can assure
them it's nowhere near the hassle it is for us.

And thanks for the tip. I never looked on the back of the customs form.
Just seeing the front would usually have me throw it down in disgust.
