Hi, Thanks for your reply. I am considering emac with 512mb and combo drive. I think that it makes sense to buy dvd-r later (if I need it at all) as a separate unit as the prices will go down and maybe there will be some standard to all +/- format. I am currently using PIII 800mhz as the main computer and heavily updated 7100/80 as a backup.
