Hi

In reply to the questions about an eMac I'd like to say I'm very pleased with mine which I have had for all of a week. It's a fine desktop machine and while not as pretty as the new iMacs it's the same computer under the hood.

If you can, get the superdrive; I costed it out and even upgrading the combo version with mail order units from US it costs about the same. I made my first DVD today - a piece of cake! I intend to do a lot of video editing with it so I've put in an extra 512k ram. Good stuff! OS X is a bit of a stretch at first but it's powerful and easy to like. And the 04 iApps are great - you'll love them. (Make sure the 04 iApps are in the box and not just the 03 version otherwise you'll have to upgrade for $40.)

If you can trade in your old machine soo much the better. So I say if you want a good workshorse Mac at a fair price, eMac might be for you.

Paul
