Thanks Mac Duff. I have been wondering for months how to do this.

Hi List friends,

Whenever I download a PDF file, my mac launches my Adobe Acrobat
program. While that works, whenever I choose, I use Preview in system
10.3 as it seems so much faster to render the pages. Also, Acrobat is
Very Very slow on printing. Does anyone know how I can make downloads
open in Preview instead of Acrobat?

Select any pdf file, and then open its Get Info window. Open the "Open With"
disclosure triangle in this window and from the pop-up that becomes
available, select the Preview application. Then, press the "Change All..."
button.
