I am using ClarisWorks 4 on a 5500, system 8.5. Something strange happened at some point last week.
Every time I open an old file, MacLink launches itself to translate the file into ClarisWorks from (it tells me) ClarisWorks for Mac, and I get a new file (which I don't want) in a different font and with the 'Message from DataViz' at the top asking me to delete the message to keep the same pagination. When I get info on my files I am just told they are in ClarisWorks. When I open a new file, the same thing happens (that is, I open a file, type in text, save it, and when I come to open it again, MacLink translates it for me). The real pain is that I have spreadsheet files, and they just come out with only the text in, and no s/s cells. I have checked the preferences for ClarisWorks and for MacLink, and can't see anything to change back (anyway, AFAIK I haven't changed anything). I have run a Norton system check, and can't see anything. I have of course rebooted just to see if that clears this oddity. Any ideas?
