Hi,
I've been given a powerbook g3 to look at which refuses to power up.
As far as i am aware it was working fine and then stopped working.
I'm used to desktops so am a bit stumped.

What i have found out:
1. power supply works as its generating heat. I havent checked the voltage
off the end into the mac yet.
2. battery has 1 light on it when i press the test button.
3. there are no signes of damage suggesting it has been dropped or maimed.
4. if i do a reset (shift - fn - ctrl + power) the power light comes on
briefly and glows the screen slightly.

I suspect a dodgy power supply - the fact that it is doing nowt on power key
could just be a low battery..

anyone use a powerbook who could shed some light?

thanks
mikek
