Hey John. As you seem to be planning on spending on an LCD screen, why not buy yourself a nice refurb or second hand iMac? You can then run osx, have usb, maybe even firewire and you can throw away our old 6200 (or sell it on ebay).
It's not worth selling 6200s on eBay, IMHO. Rarely sell, and then for �10! Can be parted out for memory and HD, of course.
