Hiya.

Anyone had any problems with the 1GHz model? The 2002 beasties had a fair few rumours of screen problems floating around, but I'm hoping they've got those all sorted by now. My wife's thinking about acquiring one for organising her photos with, as CRTs still beat LCDs for colour consistency, price per pixel etc.

No solid evidence, but it is suggested the CRT on the eMac is not very good. It's only really usable at 1024x768, despite being able to do up to 1280x960 (but at a refresh rate that would make your eyes bleed after about an hour!). I agree that CRTs are better for photos but at the same time my iMac LCD is very very good, much better than expected. Mind you I'm biased, I kinda like my iMac rather a lot :)
