Hi all,I'm struggling to think of any way to connect a Pismo and a 165c.
I found a PowerBook 165c that was tucked up for years somewhere. Battery is dead but still works on power adaptor. I am thinking of setting it up to serve as a word processor for my daughter. It has system 7.5.5 installed on it. The floppy drive is dead. The other Mac I own is a Pismo 400. Is there a way to connect these two, wipe the 165c's hard drive, re-install fresh system (which one would suit the best?) and a word processor? My daughter is 8 yrs old, and she happily types away on Pismo. Also, I could install a game or two for her. Its got an 80MB (ha!) SCSI hard drive and 8MB of RAM.
Any suggestions?
They have nothing in common, connection-wise. :-(
Everything I can think of has a cost:
Intermediate Mac with Ethernet and LocalTalk running LocalTalk Bridge, External SCSI CD drive, SCSI-Ethernet adapter on the 165c. . . . .
cheapest and best solution might be to see if anyone has a spare floppy drive for the 165 lying around (I _may_ have)
