Not exactly all done � dragging anything into this moves the actual item
rather than creating an alias*, there is no �Add to Favorites� option
anywhere (such as the open and save dialogs), and there is no Favorites
entry in the Go menu. In other words it�s all very manual in comparison to
the implementation in previous versions of OS X. And you even have to
specifically drag the Favorites folder into the sidebar to enable it.

I still don�t understand why they got rid of it...

* Unless you educate people to hold down the Command and Option keys as they
drag, which also has its problems in OS X.
