Readers will recall my earlier correspondence regarding problems with photoshop freezing and crashing after years of happy use.
I've concluded that the problem started after I upgraded to OS8.6 and after many tweaks and hours of disabling various extensions and other arcane activities Photoshop is now stable. Have not identified what made the difference. Now I get a Type 11 error each time I try and acquire an image. Cut Photoshop out of the loop and have used Epson Scan! II to fire up the scanner. Scanner tries to run and then I get Type 11 error reported. Grateful if anyone can tell me what parts of the twain set-up should be put where. At present they are all located in a folder called Twain in the preferences file. I assume that the Twain and Scan!II software that came originally with the scanner needs to be updated to run with 8.6. Everything else seems to be working ok (I've returned the faulty memory module that was preventing restart) and I miss my scanner. Any help gratefully received.
