I would think that the simplest option would be to purchase a new copy of 10.3 (88 inc VAT from Dabs). It comes with the optional developer tools, and in addition you get a substantially faster, more stable, and up-featured version of the OS.

I have tried to execute a command 'pico' in the "terminal' utility, but the command is not recognized, or the utility cannot be found. I have searched for it and it definitely isn't on my hard disc. OS X installers are supposed to install developer tools, I understand. I do not see that option on my OS 10.12 disk. I have searched for the free developers' tools as a download in order to install for 10.1 and cannot find them on Apple's site. Can someone enlighten me? ...please. -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
