Yes, you're correct � you didn�t mention in your original post that it was a
beige G3. In which case, I�d go for an upgrade to 10.2. It�s still much
faster etc than 10.1.x, and you get the developer tools install. Or you
could use xpostfacto to put 10.3 onto your system, but that may be more
hassle than you want (I seem to recall there�s still one or two minor issues
with xpostfacto and 10.3 at this stage).

Nick, So far as 10.3 goes, I believe 10.2 is the limit for a g3 233mhz
500MB RAm 7gb hd, or am I worng here. Not sure how much installation space
10.3 needs.
