Yes, you're correct you didnt mention in your original post that it was a beige G3. In which case, Id go for an upgrade to 10.2. Its still much faster etc than 10.1.x, and you get the developer tools install. Or you could use xpostfacto to put 10.3 onto your system, but that may be more hassle than you want (I seem to recall theres still one or two minor issues with xpostfacto and 10.3 at this stage).

Nick, So far as 10.3 goes, I believe 10.2 is the limit for a g3 233mhz 500MB RAm 7gb hd, or am I worng here. Not sure how much installation space 10.3 needs. -- Mac UK is sponsored by <http://lowendmac.com/> and... 123Inkjets.com <http://lowendmac.com/ad/123inkjets.html> Support Low End Mac <http://lowendmac.com/lists/support.html> Mac UK list info: <http://lowendmac.com/lists/mac-uk.shtml> --> AOL users, remove "mailto:" Send list messages to: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To unsubscribe, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> For digest mode, email: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subscription questions: <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Archive: <http://www.mail-archive.com/mac-uk%40mail.maclaunch.com/> Using a Mac?
