Bluetooth and SMS bug

Has anyone noticed a bug in Panther where if you type in "smileys" when 
sending an SMS it consumes loads of characters.  For example, I sent an 
SMS to a colleague which was 64 characters short of "full". I then 
added :0| at the end and it shot up to 28 characters too long, giving 
those three characters a character value of 92!  If anyone here would 
verify that this happens to them also I shall write and complain... :0|
