OpenOffice is supposed to be pretty good at handling Word files, but requires the X11 window system at present. Anyone here using it?
I would rfecomend openofice to anyone, I have even started using it's spreadsheet in preference to excel. And having something that works on multiple platforms is gret for me, I just wish there was a pocket version that worked for handhelds.
