I use ant for building generally, but when it comes to debugging/
writing applications i just find an ide easier...But intellij is
nice, it costs a little too much for personal use and Eclipse i just
don't seem to get on with.

Whenever I'm working in Python or C++ I just use Vim, Terminal.app
and makefiles.
