Is the PRAM battery good ?

This is a very important point. I've managed to resurrect a completely dead Titanium Powerbook by simply replacing the PRAM battery. In fact, just disconnecting the dead PRAM battery allowed the computer to start. From my research, it seems like the starting circuits in quite a few Apple computers rely on the PRAM battery, so you get machines that won't start even when on full battery power or plugged into the mains.

I read one web page (I can't remember where now sorry) about a Powerbook G3 where replacing the PRAM also helped resurrect a machine that wouldn't start.
