I'm watching a G4 PowerBook which is being re-listed, but am nervous
about a hairline crack in the plastic surround of the DVD slot, in
case the PB has been dropped. If I did buy it, would the PCMCIA card
that is now in my Wallstreet also fit this item? I attach the link
and would be grateful for any comments:

Can anyone tell me, please, if the keyboard of the new iBook is now
the same as that on the G4 PowerBook? I am considering an iBook in
place of my now rather decrepit Wallstreet, but I never liked the
keyboard on the original iBook and have been told that they are now
the same, apart from colour of course.

I didn't think they felt at all similar when at an Applestore
recently.
Best you get somewhere and try it
