Is this with only the PPC version or both versions?
I cannot reproduce the arrow key problem on my Intel MacBook. Those
who did reproduce it were on PPC as far as I can tell.
I'm not sue if it is the expectation that if you are on the last line
of the document and you press the down arrow key, users are expecting
to get to the end of the last line of document like in other Mac OS X
apps. This is not standard behaviour in apps on most other OSs.
I opened the issue to try and gain more specific information on the
problem. If no one comes forward with more information, since I can
only tell that the arrow key works here as expected, there is nothing
we can do to improve the behaviour.

Maybe it's because I'm just an average non-techie guy, but for me it's a
no-brainer test. Load up OOo 2.0+ and open Write and throw in a few
paragraphs and try to joystick the arrow keys around and see that the
Down Arrow key is AWOL. This issue occurs the same on my 1.25gHz eMac
and 900mHz G3 iceBook both running OS 10.4.9 with no haxies or anything
else running in the background (haven't checked Expose, then I don't use
it). The affect occurs no matter where in a short or long document the
cursor is and it won't budge no matter how long your fingers presses the
metal. I can't believe a general call to Mac forums for users to check
out this issue wouldn't score you all lots of data points. I eat the
fact that the problem's not in OOo's court, but maybe there's a
workaround for this like a macro that monitors the Down Arrow key being
pushed then on its own command forces the cursor to drop down a line,
bypassing the Down Arrow's own activation procedure. Or are you all so
close to Aqua that this issue's mute save for undesirable PR?
