Is there a document, which describes how to cope with shortcuts for

Concerning guidelines, it seems that there is currently no guideline
for shortcuts. We have discussed recently on the UX list the
eventuality to compare Human Interface Guidelines from major
platforms, and to write our own. Since it is a very big work, it has
not been started yet, but maybe we could begin with shortcuts...
Latest example is Cmd-M, which should minimize window, but it
reverts to default format. Will any change in this area violate
some overal UI rules for the whole suite?
I don't know. But every shortcut change should be very carefully
done, because it can be very frustrating for the user…
From user POV, it's better to use Mac specific shortcuts (IMHO).
I fully agree with that. But please note that every time the User
Interface is made platform-specific, it has a big impact on
documentation and translation work…
Any documents, any rules, ... in this area?
As I stated above, not yet. But I would like to see some
collaboration between User Experience and Mac Porting teams, here.
My idea is to go through HIG, select all possible shortcuts and fix
all of them in systematic way.
