I know it's bad form to reply to one's own post(s), but here I go anyways. This issue is probably not a regression. I took a look again at the release date on MacFUSE 0.4.0 and realized that stovak's first post about this issue was on May 31st. Therefore, barring the original poster's use of Google TimeTravel, my assumption was incorrect. Sorry about that. This issue probably exists in MacFUSE 0.3.0 as well, I just never had it manifest until after I installed 0.4.0.
