You can force remove a botched installation--specifically, those pieces of an installation that could matter to the installer--by deleting the following folders (whichever exist on your system):
/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs /System/Library/Filesystems/fusefs.fs /Library/Frameworks/MacFUSE.framework /Library/Receipts/MacFUSE.pkg /Library/Receipts/MacFUSE Core.pkg Then you can try installing a newly downloaded MacFUSE package.
