The problem is that you are not using a newer version of Tuxera's MacFUSE, 
technically. You use a build based on Tuxera's MacFUSE which has been released 
by someone else.

You might as well remove the preference pane since you can't use it to update 
MacFUSE 2.2.2 from Bryan to a new version should he release one. You can only 
"update" to the newest version from Tuxera, which could be seen a very 
consistent considering you are using Tuxera's preference pane. Just my two 
cents.

The bundle version of the preference pane is set to 2.0, if I'm not mistaken. I 
don't know where MacUpdate is getting the version number from. MacFUSE consists 
of different parts and some of them (libfuse, preference pane) have their "own" 
version number, that might differ from the version number of the the 
kext/framework. Thought, it might be a good idea to update the version number 
of the preference pane.
