If your scanner is not supported, drop the developer a note, the next release usually has support for it (and he is very prolific, sometimes releasing four or five updates a week --- adding features and supporting more scanners). It is a shareware program, but is waaaay more powerful than the software that came with many scanners when they were "brand spanking new".
