I don't know that it is the scanner. I have installed 10.3 and 10.2 on 
several machines. With 10.2, I have had very little problems with scsi 
items, but on 10.3, we can hardly get anything to work. I would 
recommend either rebooting in os 9 to scan or getting a firewire 
scanner.
