Would you really want to order one just before the Keynote on Wed. from MacWorld? Possibly there will be nothing you are interested in, then again it may be worth your wait....just one more day.
As far as AppleCare, that is really a personal decision, I for one have had so many of these machines that it would be expensive and I have had so little problems I have not needed the program, yet if you feel the comfort of having the plan then it is worth the cost.
