okay, so i just checked prices on apple.com

AppleCare for an iBook - $249
AppleCare for an iBook with my University discount - $183

seems a bit more reasonable (even if 60 some odd bucks over two years  
doesn't mean much)

something that i'll have to think about.

anyone know if i buy a refurb machine, if i can get the student  
discount price on the AppleCare?
