Group, I need help. I just recently upgraded my acrobat from 6 to 7.05. somebody had suggested this. I have been downloading the weekly German TV program for several years. It always downloaded using Preview. ( I only know this because after a download its icon then sits on my desktop) Now, all of a sudden, it downloads nothing and tells me the file is corrupt. --- Now on my laptop where I only have Acrobat 6, it downloads OK. The German TV has been telling us all along that now we can download with the Acrobat reader, too, but when I had No 6 , it always automatically downloaded via Preview in my iMac. My powerbook always downloaded this program via the Reader, also automatically. without my having determined it- Something got confused here in my iMac, but I do not know where I should look. I did not uninstall 6, because I don't know how. I threw the new 7.05 into the trash and downloaded it again. It tells me my download was successful. I tried to throw the trash out, because the doubling of the Reader 7.05 . I cannot now empty the trash, because "localized .rsrc " is in use ( whatever that means). I checked the preferences of preview and Reader, but am at a loss here, too. I don't know what files in this computer's innards I should get rid of. I cleaned the Safari Cache, I cleaned the history, I threw out the German program url and tried it anew. Nothing thus far has helped. I did the Macjanitor and repaired permissions. Maybe you can give me some hints what to try next. Thanks,
