Well, I tried unchecking anything that seemed to have to do with 'call waiting' and/or incoming call notification/disconnect, etc., as well as also trying a software re-config of the modem (osX, both ver. 10.3.8 & 10.4.3) to a type V.90 instead of a V.92, and the process does still occurs sometimes. ~(:(o) --> D'oh! <-- Is this even a likely cause of the abrupt modem hangup, or am I chasing clouds here? Again, this has only happened when I've initiated a disconnect/reconnect using the osX provided software.
