Hope so. It's a really sneaky thing, tying the tyranny to the future 
technology without consumer unhappiness, as consumer's won't care about 
the technology for a year or two and the law will be grandfathered in as 
such.

Any reason why I couldn't record a HD signal using a non-HD card?
