I tried them the refill kits a while back with my Epson 1520, hated every one of them.
The Epson carts are not easily refilled like the HPs and despite all the care I took I could never get one to work like the original. Plus I ruined two shirts and a pair of pants with the ink. We found a couple of sources on the internet for cheaper refilled cartridges. The Epson brand for my 1520 run about $25, the commercially refilled ones cost around $9. And they work just as well as the Epsons.
