It must be quite different from my C60 then, Janice. While it's not silent by any means, the Imagewriter easily drowns it out. However, the Imagewriter was a big improvement over the daisywheel type printers that went before it in terms of speed, output flexibility, and noise. The DW was like a little hackhammer. The Imagewriter was the first actual graphics printer with even the text being rendered dot by dot as graphical elements.
I would differ slightly with one previous coment.
