It must be quite different from my C60 then, Janice. While it's not silent
by any means, the Imagewriter easily drowns it out. However, the
Imagewriter was a big improvement over the daisywheel type printers that
went before it in terms of speed, output flexibility, and noise. The DW was
like a little hackhammer. The Imagewriter was the first actual graphics
printer with even the text being rendered dot by dot as graphical elements.

I would differ slightly with one previous coment. The Imagewriter 2 created
a printout that was quite acceptable for correspondence and the Imagewriter
LQ is very close to the quality of the early ink jet printers ... and both
are much, much cheaper to operate.
