I'll play devils advocate and ask "what isn't your current iMac doing  
for you?" 4 years old isn't that old for a Mac.

I never buy a Rev A Apple computer, and have never regretted the  
position. OS 10.5 will likely make it's appearance by MacWorld 07,  
along with some Rev B Intel Macs. I would expect an Intel PowerMac  
Quad and iBook?Mac Book less the Pro by third quarter. March 07 would  
be the safest date to position oneself in the next stream.

A recent G4 iBook, or Mini would easily fit your meager needs...jf
