Marta, the gmail notifier is great! Took me awhile to get it to work: apparently I did everthing but double click on it once I had moved it to my application folder, and then simply type in my email address and password. After that it immediately appeared.
Thanks, next thing I want to get to work is the capability to use gmail as a phone, but I don't have .mac or AIM or any other way to use that feature yet. Thanks again for your help.
