I have allowed FTP access on a computer on a network that sits behind
a DHCP router. I have set up a user named "FTP" and assigned that
user a password. I have given that user "No Limits".

From a remote computer (outside the local area network) I am able to
log in to that user's directory using the FTP program Interarchy and
upload a file to it. When I go back to that directory from the same
remote computer using Interarchy, logging on with the same username
and password as before, I can no longer see the file that I uploaded.
So I cannot download that file, which was the point of my test -- I
wanted to make sure that someone could download a file through FTP if
I gave them the address, username and password.

Any ideas on why I can successfully upload a file via FTP, but cannot
download that same file?
