I never knew about Option+Eject until you suggested it. And I was surprised
to find it opened my one and only drive.

It is a very philosophical command. While I like to avoid unnecessary
commands, if a command does something, can it be incorrect? And it two
commands do the same thing, which one is deemed unnecessary? But of course,
it is the extra key that makes Option+Eject unnecessary and therefore
incorrect when there is only one drive. The incorrectness no doubt proceeds
from the lack of necessity.

The tech note is clear that the second drive opens when you press
Option+Eject. The tech note did not say that Option+Eject would no longer
open the first drive. However, you have finally answered that question by
saying:

> ... I don't believe there is a single keyboard command to eject both trays at
> once should you have dual optical drives.

Which is a great relief to know, since I was afraid Option+Eject would
continue to open the upper drive while it also opened the second lower
drive, which would then be covered up by the upper drive.

So ... I am encouraged to buy that second drive from you, which is what
started this thread.
