This recent thread explored how to open a second optical drive. If you have one drive, pressing either Eject or Option+Eject opens it. If you add a drive, Option+Eject opens the second drive and apparently (hopefully) no longer opens the first drive.
But the Aug MacWorld tells how to add a pull-down Eject menu in the menu bar that will list all your optical drives, and open and close them. Follow Root:System:Library:Core Services:Menu Extras to Eject.menu. Click on Eject.menu to put the Eject menu in the menu bar. | The next meeting of the Louisville Computer Society will | be July 22.
