Well "you" won't actually go anywhere unless you leave. As far as your 
computer though, it will think that there is no user using it and go to 
the log-in screen, patiently waiting for you to log in. Note: if you do 
not have auto-login enabled, then when you start the computer, you will 
be taken to this same log-in screen.

You can get to the logout feature by by going to the Apple menu. It 
will be the bottom choice.
