I have the same trouble with my powerbook. Although I have a dial=up and am
not connected to the internet, ( I am running 9.2) it is supposed to go to
sleep when I close it, but it does not wake up half of the time, and when I
finally get it to work, it runs through the whole of "disk first aid " which
takes up more time to get back to work. It is quicker to just turn it off
totally. Marta
