Yesterday I erased my external HD to start Time Machine. What the HD had been used for in the past was a simple backup drive. So I have two questions now that I've done it. If I loose my hard drive on my MacBook, will it take me back to that date exactly without backing up my files somewhere else? Or will I loose my iTunes and Word files? And lets say I get a new mac to replace this one, can I reboot that one from that drive?
