I have a question. When using iPhoto, version 4.0.3, each photo taken from my Canon camera appears in iPhoto with a number, starting with IMG 001 JPG, IMG 002 JPG, etc, depending upon how many photos I download that day.
Now if I take more photos the next day, and down load them into iPhoto, they are numbered the same way. Over several year I have acquired quite a few photos with the same number, such as IMG 001 JPG! I can change the numbers on iPhoto, but whenever I try to move them to another folder, they revert back to the original number. Therefore, I can not put two pics into a single folder from different downloads, with the same number ! Is there any simple way to get around this. I would like to copy most of the pics to a disc or discs to save them, then afterwards deleat them from my computer, to fee up some space.
