I have the disk and am still working on it; the issue goes a little  
deeper than I thought but I think some of the information he's  
already gathered may help solve the problem. The zip disk itself  
appears to be formatted in a proprietary scheme by the recording  
hardware he was using, hence the information he was getting about  
laying hands on a version of Toast or similar that supports direct  
copy to a CD without a Mac (or PC) having to actually be able to  
mount the disk.
