Marta, Enlarging the scope of someone's question with a similar question one thing. Changing the topic altogether is another.
Sandra's question about corrupt appleworks files has nothing to do with the original excel question. If I am following the thread of the excel question I look to answers about that question. If I pose a question about excel, because I'm looking for an answer I need, and I open up a supposed answer and it has nothing to do with my question, then that, imho, is improper listserve etiquette. I am sorry you feel you are a moron, I don't think anyone on the list considers you a moron. I did a google search on listserve etiquette and found several sites that list appropriate etiquette. Here's one: <http://www.naahq.org/Pages/NAAListServeEtiquette.aspx> Number 2 in the list is the following: State concisely and clearly the specific topic of the comments in the subject line. This allows members to respond more appropriately to your posting and makes it easier for members to search the archives by subject. If you would like, I am happy to send you url's for other listserve etiquette rules.
