Applelinks Discussion Forum | "your network settings have been changed
by another application" ...
I have this happen to one of my Mac's still running Tiger.
Since I use it for a sever never really messed with it as it still
preforms fine at it's appointed task.
See above link for fixes. I had saved this one for future reference.

That message will go away. Whenever you need to change anything in
the future, click the padlock and enter your password.
There may be some file somewhere that is causing this, but I don't
what it is.

something happen this week that I do not understand why

application"; at the time I was using Firefox
instead of Safari .
When
this happened everything froze up. I could not quit
and restart ; I
could not do anything. I called Apple Support . He
told me to use
the Power button
to shut-down. After shutting and restarting
everything seemed to
work except when I went
to System Preferences and tried to look
at Network the same message popped up again. What
should I do ?
