Thanks John,
I went to Apple's discussion site ( recommend by Ed ) and found
out that several people using OS10.4.11 are having the same problem
after
downloading Apple's latest System Update. I downloaded that update
just recently. They went on to say that Apple is working for a patch
for this problem.
I have not tried Disk Warrior or Tech Tools Pro. Both of my
copies are old and I do not know if either is compatible with 10.4.11.
My system is working OK now so I may just wait for the patch.
