I'd advise you to get someone with an AT&T phone to come over and try it out. 
Where I live, near Highway 42 between I-64 and I-264 the AT&T coverage is 
atrocious. There are 0 bars with both Edge and 3G inside our house and all the 
way up to maybe 1 bar on the deck outside. We've never had any such problems 
with Verizon.
