[MacGroup] zip file

I just received a zip file , it is a docx file which my little iBook  
G4 can't open. it tells me it is not safe to open, and to use a  
different application. Textedit will open , but is a raw state with  
all this junk characters in between. KIt is important , since ik am  
not at home and the person who sent it is out of his office and and  
and. This is also still on Tiger. I bring it along when travelling.  
It is light.

Is there a way to get this thing open, since it is an important  
documant.
