Look in your Utilities folder and you might find QT7. If not, you should be able to install it from the Snow Leopard disk or download it from Apple.com.
Install the free sofware Perian for extra functionality as well as Apple's MPEG-2. Go to perian.com. Quicktime for Snow Leopard is a massive work in progress. It's got lots of future potential but less current functionality. That's why they included QT7 in the install.
