Stuart, First of all, thanks for the prompt reply. you might check out this apple site, with info on the dif. power supplies used for the mac minis. it might be you have a power supply that is working, but doesn't supply quite enough power for the mini you are using it on. anyways, have a look and see what you come up with. working on a supply for lower-than-apple pricing for power supplies. http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2999
i had to replace the power supply for my G4 iBook last month, and did good with a company called "Level 8 Technology". http://www.level8technology.com not sure if they carry power adapters for the mac mini, but worth checking out.
