Well RSS readers are just a way to read a RSS feed from a website. I use http://reederapp.com/ This is on iPhone iPad and the Mac it sync's with Google reader where my subscription's are kept. You add the feed your self by adding the URL of the website You wish to follow.
Now there are app's like flipboard that collect feeds in to sections. I don't use this type for real news that is important to me. For the casual user they maybe helpful but I don't Use this style on a daily basis Reader is one of my favorite Apps.
